THE RADICAL REFORMATION - THE ANABAPTIST MOVEMENT AND ITS CONTINUING IMPACT

TAUGHT BY JOHN WATSON, DEAN (B.A. - Wht'n;  B.D. -  Prin;  M.Th. -  Abd'n)

THURSDAYS, JAN. 26 -- MAR. 1, 2012

9:15 - 11:30 AM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM (Identical classes in morning and evening)

The "Fourth Branch" of the Reformation is often called "the Radical Reformation" for taking the teaching of the Bible and the conviction of faith to the ultimate.  Often misunderstood, vilified, and persecuted, these fellow Christians saw clearly what many others missed - the importance of the separation of Church and State, toleration and non-violence.

Their brave stands left behind an enduring legacy and pointed the way forward for many.  You are invited to explore this fascinating and challenging chapter in the history of the Church and its continuing relevance today.

The text for the classes is: The Naked Anabaptist: The Bare Essentials of a Radical Faith, by Stuart Murray, Chair of the Anabaptist Network.  Copies will be available at the first class.

ALL CLASSES ARE AT BETHEL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1735 BETHEL ROAD.AT THE SW CORNER OF BETHEL AND REED ROADS IN NORTHWEST COLUMBUS.

TUITION IS $50 FOR THE SIX SESSIONS WITH A $25 SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
